Colowide-7616 has been sending ¥40 000 worth of coupons every year since I paid ¥543 per share in 2008. Coupons can be used at any of their restaurants.
I began doing the cross trading to get various yutai about a year ago after my Japanese brother in law told me about it. It's true you need to be careful of the cost of the short sell as some shares have a separate premium fee on top of the regular fee, so it's easy to end up with hardly any profit or indeed a loss, but the trades themselves are not particularly complicated. Obviously it's playing the system and companies are gradually getting wise to it by introducing minimum holding periods, but it is worth the effort if you have the willingness to spend the time on it and a few million yen of spare cash. I estimate that I was able to get about 80,000 in yutai in March, one of the better months, with costs of about 9,000.
Great write up. Management should not abandon such plans; it's a sign of respect to shareholders.
I respectfully disagree!

And what is your actual dividend yield on the initial investment?
