Excellent read. I may have found my new favorite Substack. Japan is super fascinating as a value investor, but is fraught with corporate governance issues. It's gotten better, but the pace of change is incredibly slow.

It feels like Japan has so many companies that a small amount of capital efficiency could drastically improve.
